Support for NGOs
NGOs (Non-Governmental Organizations) PDF Print E-mail

If you belong to an NGO, you are already providing a service to the world. But how can you do even more?

First, NGOs are often in need of things:

  • Funding,
  • Volunteers,
  • Equipment,
  • Office Spaces,
  • Meeting Rooms

and the list goes on. Sometimes, what you really need is another organization to help you out.

The first action you can take with Partners for Prosperity is to create an Organizational Partner Profile. While doing so, you can Identify your organization's needs. You can also encourage your own volunteers to create Individual Partner Profiles and they can identify themselves with your organization. To do either profile, click on Join Us and choose the appropriate options.

What do we Provide?

Partners is a place where you can join us in in finding others who will help you meet your needs. In addition, we or our other Partners will work with you in developing Partnerships, Skills, Community Connections, Outreach Capabilities and Coordinated plans.

As other Partners join us, they will learn to identify and support your needs. We encourage you to update your needs regularly as they change and when you update them, your needs go to the top of the list.

What do you provide?

Partners all provide a willingness to share their learning and experience with other Partners. When you become a Partner, we hope that you will give and receive. Providing a service to others in the community is good, but building the capacity of the world is even better. So as we provide service, we also aim to build self-sufficiency, while walking with each other on this path of development.

Grass Roots Initiatives PDF Print E-mail

If you are just thinking about building an NGO. We can help you too! We have a place for you to create your own on-line groups, your own Organizatoinal Description and a plan for others to learn how to find you and for you to find them. It's all about connecting the dots.

What do we mean by Grass Roots Initiatives?

If you're not familiar with the term, what we mean is that we like to develop initiatives from within the community of needs. Far too often, solutions to problems come in the form of one group attempting to solve the problems of another group without really understanding the needs of the other group and without allowing them to use their skills to find their own solutions. Our goal is to help you in your community to solve the needs that are surround you. There are enough challenges in the world that we don't need to go very far away to find them.

Do we support long range Initiatives?

Yes, of course. There are situations, in the world where, by no fault of their own, people find themselves in difficulty and are unable to resolve their challenges independently. So they look to their neighbors in other countries for assistance. But we respect the capabilities of our friends in other places and recognize their capacity to solve their own challenges in their own way provided that they have the means to do so. We strive to do everything necessary to provide the means and training so that they become self-sufficient.

Do we support Aid Initiatives?

Some of our Partners might. We encourage all NGOs to participate. However, our goal is to help communities to work together while becoming self-sustaining. As we all learn together, we believe that it will benefit others on the ground.
