BMDA has two major aims: to offer programming, training, and technological support to people and agencies at the grass-roots level in using information, communications, and media technologies to promote social, economic, and cultural advancement, as well as to, bring to light, through (multi-) media productions, successful development discourses and practices. Part of Bish?r?t's mandate is to bring culturally and spiritually sound development principles and practices to light with the aim of informing contemporary development policy and planning at all levels.

Four Directions International is a Canadian owned and operated Aboriginal company with more than thirty years of experience in people - centered development work in North and South America, Central and West Africa, Southeast Asia, the Pacific Islands, and the former Soviet Union. Four Directions International is the economic arm of the Four Worlds International Institute for Human and Community Development. The primary focus of Four Worlds and Four Directions' work is capacity building of people and organizations for social and economic development at the community level. Four Worlds is best known for its culturally based, participatory approach to development and for its articulation of principles and processes guiding sustainable development activities. more

The Virtues Project, based in Saltspring, British Columbia, Canada, is an initiative that began in 1991 to empower individuals and families to live by their highest values. It was inspired by the desire to do something to counteract the rising violence in and around families. Education is the key to transformation, but it must involve education that touches the human spirit. The Virtues Project is an approach which calls people to remembrance of the virtues, the qualities of character and the simple elements of spirituality honoured by all cultures and sacred traditions. It has been applied in a wide variety of ways which include: federally funded community development and healing projects in First Nations communities in Canada, programs with urban street children in Los Angeles, to restructure the curriculum and culture of schools, to enhance unity in , and as a tool in day-care centres, palliative care programs, personal development, and in parent education programs throughout the world. more

They provide member institutions with a place to host websites. BCI also provides various forms of technical support, such as answering questions about website development and assisting with graphics. They also provide free POP3 electronic mailboxes and mail forwarding. This gives the institutions an 'official' addresses that can be used instead of personal addresses, just as post office boxes are often used for postal mail. more

The primary purpose of this organization is to rapidly disseminate Baha'i news and information throughout the world. It is used for announcements, press releases, important news and short questions. Currently it has over 1300 subscribers. All with email are encouraged to join, because it is used to tie all BCCA discussion groups together, and it is often the quickest way to distribute news. The group is moderated to ensure that messages are kept to a length and frequency acceptable to all. Messages posted must be of global interest, or be of interest to a targeted country or continent. more

BBFA (Baha'i Business Forum for the Americas) is a forum for those interested in applying spiritual principles in business, economics & management. Some of their objectives include providing support seminars, ideas on management practices, different spiritual principals to management and economics, as well as vehicles for sharing business opportunities. There are three main parts to this forum. The first is the Internet forum that provides an opportunity for discussion among those interested in this topic. The second is the development of Local Enterprise Advisory Boards that will serve as support networks. The third is the development of an educational/training process that will include the development of a curriculum. more

The Children's Theatre Company, located in New York City is dedicated to "producing theatre by children for grown-ups". The program is a creative haven for the children and provides for them the ability to apply moral values such as peace, racial harmony and unity in diversity. The program provides for the children many different rehearsals such as drama, dance, art, creative writing, and music theatre. These skills are then put to use in free performances all over the country. The New York Baha'i community has generously provided this program's theatre space. more

Health for Humanity (HH) is a health development organization. Internationally, its goal is to promote health development by partnering with local governmental and non-governmental organizations to improve their institutional capacity to meet the health needs of those they serve. HH works in close collaboration with its partners, offering consultation, training, and needed resources.
Domestically, its primary goal is to promote community health development through local initiatives of U.S. regional HH networks utilizing the unique HH approach. Health care professionals as well as individuals from a variety of disciplines will find, through HH, avenues of service for their talents and skills. The fundamental belief of HH is that people everywhere have capacity and inherent nobility and can care for themselves when they have the proper education and resources. more

ONE COUNTRY, a Newsletter, is a publication of the Office of Public Information of the Bah?'? International Community, which is an international non-governmental organization. Each issue contains in-depth feature stories on the United Nations, noteworthy social and economic development projects, environmental efforts or educational programs, along with an editorial that addresses world problems.
