MISSION To strengthen scientific and moral capabilities to contribute to the transformation of individuals, institutions and communities of Costa Rica MAIN LINES OF ACTION 1.Training Center for Moral Leadership: Project1: Development of Moral Leadership Capabilities for Agents of Change in Talamaca Indigenous Territories in Costa Rica. 2.Production Center. Project 1: Development of Interactive Theater and Arts to strengthen Moral Capabilities in Youth for the Ruth Pringle Institute of Costa Rica. Project 2: Development of Radio Programs for 5 Baha-i Radio Stations in Latinamerica. Project 3: Development of Radio Programs to strengthen moral capabilities and environmental concience. 3. Education for Development Project:?Empowering Individual Potential for Sustainable Community Based Service: the SAT Program in Talamanca, Costa Rica?. Baha'i Academy (India)
The Academy, located in Panchgani, India is a centre for advanced higher studies of the Teachings of Baha'u'llah. The Academy offers long term courses (1 year) where the student participates in a 9-day inaugural program on campus and continues the studies from home. The Academy also offers a variety of short-term courses at the campus throughout the year.

Bosch School (United States)
The Bosch School was founded 1926 in Geyserville. They moved to their current location in 1974, a 67-acre campus, near Santa Cruz California, providing on campus accommodation for retreats and study weekends, bookshop, and conference facilities. Their programs foster personal spiritual growth and promote the oneness of humankind, race unity, and the equality of women and men. They also have classes on socio-economic development.

Brighton Creek Baha'i Conference Center (United States)
To become a Regional Training Center to serve the spiritual, educational, cultural and fellowship needs of the general public and a diverse Bah?'? community. To develop sustainable income from use of the facility while providing an environment sensitive and respectful to all peoples and cultures. To harmoniously develop and beautify the natural environment showing respect for the ancestral Indian land.

CAFT-Centre for Learning, Training and Transformation (Haiti)
CAFT responds to expressed needs and interests by providing training in a variety of non-formal thematic areas: principle- based leadership and governance, capacity building for grassroots community groups, character development for children, leadership skills and environmental awareness for youth, parental education, health awareness and HIV/AIDS prevention, participatory learning and action (PLA), early child care and stimulation, nutrition etc. CAFT is further the official Haiti representative of Toronto-based Global Learning Partners, and has trained trainers from over 20 local and international organizations (CARE, UNDP, WORLD VISION, SAVE THE CHILDREN US, RED CROSS, etc.) and government Ministries in the Dialogue Education approach. Current partners include UNICEF (training of staff and peer educators working with street children and youth) and the YELE Haiti Foundation introduced by Wyclef Jean in January 2005. For the YELE Haiti Foundation, the CAFT program of Teacher Training and Parental Education is entering its second year with a doubled number of schools and has attracted the attention of local and international media. This program has already inspired dozens of teachers in flood-devastated Gonaives and violence-ridden Cité Soleil to introduce active learning methods and eliminate corporal punishment from their classrooms.

Chaco Project (Bolivia)
In the lowlands of southeastern Bolivia, a region known as the Chaco, there is a project developed to uplift and empower a long-ignored population of impoverished farmers through an integrated program of technical training, community organization, and the infusion of spiritual ideals. Known simply as The Chaco Project, the effort encourages a process of self-development. Although much of the training provided by the project is technical--such as how to grow fungus-resistant citrus trees, plant high-protein corn, or vaccinate livestock--a special effort is made to provide supplementary training in community organization and grassroots decision-making techniques, such as consultation.

Colegio N?r (Chile)
Colegio N?r has been in operation for over 17 years and teaches students from kindergarten through high school. There are also two rural Mapuche schools, the Muhajir School and the Faizi School. All these include formal curriculum for the study of the Bah?'? Faith, and all are approved by the Ministry of Education. One other Bah?'? educational institution is the Labranza Training Institute, which is located within the Radio Bah?'? de Chile complex. It serves not only the academic needs of the surrounding community, but its agricultural needs also. Assistance welcomed.

Louhelen (United States)
Founded as a summer school in 1931. Louhelen today is a full-service retreat and conference center, offering a relaxed, inviting setting for many types of functions. It continues to offer programs, while also serving the wider community. Louhelen School offers many different programs that are of interest to many different people. Some of these include seminars on Socio-economic development. This seminar provides training in the skills necessary for systematic step-by-step development as part of a local or regional plan for growth. They also offer different programs that pertain to a variety of ages. Some of these programs are specifically designed for the youth. One such example is the Eagle Institute, designed for youth ages 15 and older, includes dynamic, interactive learning, devotional programs, service, fellowship and fun!

Maxwell International School (Canada)
Maxwell International Baha'i School is based in Shawnigan Lake, British Columbia. It is a dynamic learning community Canadian-based private academic school, grades 7-12, committed to: scholarship, the development of spiritual ideals, achieving excellence in moral and ethical behaviour, and the enhancement of personal character through service to humanity. Students have opportunities both on and off campus to learn about service in a variety of social settings.

O Le Kuka Samoa (Samoa)
O Le Kuka Samoa is a project under the auspices of the Social and Economic Development area in Samoa. The realization of this project came into being as a way to help the indigenous people of the area regain the use of some valuable traits and resources that had been lost over the years. Its current purpose was to help better the nutritional health of the Samoan people. Through the use of cooking shows, cookbooks, and videos, these tools were used to show the local people how to use local resources and food supplies in the daily preparation of foods. The program has been highly successful and has been able to branch out and gain the attention of many.

Spirits Rising Memorial Society (Canada)
Spirits Rising Memorial Society was formed in 2006 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada to help ‘Raise the Spirits’ of our Missing Women, their children, grandchildren, families and friends through the creation of a Memorial Totem. The memorial Totem will acknowledge the grief of the community for the lives lost. This Project also represents our initial step to provide for cultural sharing, economic renewal and pride while simultaneously offering educational opportunities. Spirits Rising Memorial Society was created to act as a catalyst for positive change, offering innovative educational and empowering initiatives that will have a real effect on the lives of all Aboriginal Women, Youth and Families in our world. Spirits Rising Society welcomes all people, men and women, from all races and religions We have scussefully compleated the first two months of our 1st training program and the work on the totem pole. The pole will be raised in Wendy Poole Park in late Sept or early OCtober. On June 21st, National Aboriginal Day, Spirits Rising held the First Annual " Love, Light and Healing" Ceremony in the cente of Main & Hastings, the heart of Vancouver's downtown eastside. Healiers, elders and people of all faith groups joined us in prayers and traditional songs for healing.

Vocational Institute for Rural Women (India)
The Vocational Institute for Rural Women was established in 1985 for the upliftment of women living in small communities in the districts around Indore. The Institute has developed a curriculum that empowers women with the knowledge and skills they need to improve their lives, those of their families, and the communities in which they live. The main objectives are to train rural women around Indore so as to empower them with knowledge and give them skills needed to improve the quality of life These objectives are met through the use of a curriculum designed to: change traditional attitudes that block or impede growth, increase awareness and knowledge of the potential for improving the social and economic conditions in the community, improve health and nutrition, raise household income, increase literacy, protect and improve the environment.
