Mission

The mission of EACO is to reduce poverty and HIV/AIDS through economic empowerment, educational opportunities and support for disadvantaged groups. Their activities are targeted toward vulnerable women, especially widows and those living with HIV/AIDS; vulnerable children, youth, and the elderly.

Objectives

• To stimulate, promote, and support economic activities in rural communities that improve quality of life for disadvantaged and marginalized persons
• To prevent the spread of HIV/AIDS and mitigate its effects
• To improve agricultural production by making necessary resources available
• To  build and strengthen the capacity of community groups in order to improve upon management and planning at the local level
• To build and strengthen strategic partnerships to maximize and effect change
• To mobilize resources and facilities from key stakeholders, government and donors so as to implement community programmes

In your own communities

• Campaigning and fundraising - in your own communities you can help by campaigning, raising awareness and fundraising for access to safe water and sanitation, HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment, reproductive health knowledge and practices, income generating activities for the disadvantaged and more.

• To promote and train nomadic people in  modern livestock keeping and farming techniques
• To Assist them to acquire managerial skills.
• To support and avail portable water for the people and their livestock.
• To raise, mobilize and disburse funds and other resources for the promotion of the nomadic women and youth through the organization.
• To establish schools, educational centres, and libraries, and to publish newsletters, brochures, periodicals, books and other publications
• To employ teachers, advisors, experts and other staff for all or any of the objects of the Organization
• To promote sustainable financing for the organization
• To Alleviate and manage disaster risks in Northern Kenya

Empowerment and prosperity of local people in daily life. We promote Christian values in daily life business among our local Christian communities. We are an inter denominations and working with local rural Christian communities / denominations. Humanitarian approaches we adopt and give priority to human values.

At grass roots level we are working. We initiate activity in a community with process of animation and development to organize local CBO (Community Base Organization / Village Council ) which represent local community, women group, youth group, street children group, small business group and professional groups. All groups work with collaboration and integration in guidance of collective wisdom. To make a community professional and practical in human development activities.

To create a stimulating learning environment in which youth including children are informed, self reliant and independent through educational, information and recreational programs

To contribute to healthy living and economic opportunities through organic agriculture.
