Dear Friends,
Our Newsletter this month includes the following:
Putting yourself (or your organization) on the Partners Map (and more)
We've added a lot of new functions that will help you to work with other Partners that are near by your location or the location you are interested in serving. On the front page is a map of all our Partners globally and it's going to get more crowded. But good news, you can also get a map of Partners that are Near By once you've logged in, or you can just zoom in by double clicking on a location. The map is already getting crowded in some areas.
You can also chat with other partners or share projects. You can change languages or search the site...

Working with our Partners (Making the web-site easier to use)
The whole point is to learn, grow, have fun and serve together. But we can't do that if we can't find what we need. So working with one of our very dedicated Partners, Karen Gould, we've revised the web-site to make it easier to use and we've done it using her project to help us learn. This is an outline of some of the changes. Read More...
Youth Initiatives (Canada World Youth - Cowichan and Partners)
I had the very great honour of doing a workshop with the Canada World Youth group on Partnership, Accompaniment, Consultation and the Planning, Action, Reflection and Learning Cycle. These are bright young friends from across Canada and Mozambique. You can find the their Partner Profile by clicking here. We've added something for them too. If they look at the web-site with Google Chrome, they can translate the site into Portugese.
Partner and Project News
We have a number of projects around the world and new Partners are signing up all the time. This article provides updates on what's going on with a number of our projects and will tell you who our new Partners are. If we've missed you, let us know and we'll include you in the next news letter. Read More...
New Partners Disclaimer
Disclaimer: While we always welcome new Partners, we are an open group and do a very limited initial verification of new Partner Profiles. Most people who are attracted to this organization have positive intentions. But we encourage you to be diligent about your choices. If you want to sponsor projects run directly by us, we keep a running list of those which we directly or indirectly sponsor.
Donate
And last but never least, please help us by supporting our good work so that we can help others continue their good work.
On the Canada Helps site, you can create regular donations or you can do a one time donation and you can also tell us which project you want to fund with your donation. Click here to donate...
By looking at the front page of our site, you'll now get a sense of how we are growing. Every month, you'll find new Partners in our Network and new ways to support your community.
Until next month, Garth Schmalenberg
