There are many web-sites in the world that can accommodate on-line conversation between group members. But how many are open sites that focus on community and capacity building that actually want you to get together and work together as Partners?

Partners for Prosperity is more than just a web-site. It is a way of finding and connecting with others in your community who are interested in working together to make your community stronger and to share what you learn with other communities across the globe.

We are building the site for Community based Social and Economic Development projects which will connecting people and organizations with that purpose in mind. 

Here are some of the features we have added already:

• A Location Map where Partners can find other Partners and connect with them. Look for other Partners in your village or neighborhood.

• On-line chat. If you go on the site when I’m logged in, you'll see a little box in the bottom right corner of your window. If you see either admin or gschmalenberg, you can let me know you’re there by clicking on the name. You can chat with me and I'll walk you through using the site if you're interested. For now I can handle the numbers.

• We have an easy Search function that allows you to search for a Partner by name or description. Just look for the small search box just under the Home button.

• We have language translation (from Google Translate). If you want to use this feature, my suggestion is to use Google Chrome browser or Rockmelt). Internet Explorer doesn't work well with this feature but it's great if you prefer another language.
   

• You can search for Partners by areas of specialty and location using the Find Partners and Project > Partners Search menu option.
  
  
• In the menu option Find Partners and Projects > Development Projects, you can create your own private or public projects and invite others to participate. If they are partners, you only need to invite them by name. If they are not, you will need their e-mail address to invite them, and they will need to join the Partners network.
  
  
• Each Project has its own forum, events list, file uploads capability, video links, Project Photos, a project Wall and a Project About screen which describes the purpose of the project. Any Partner can create their own Project. 

• You can Connect with other Partners, just like in Facebook. (More about that later)
  
  
• You can Use your Facebook login which makes the process a one button click and you’re in.

I just read an article that we passed the 7 Billion point in global population. All the more reason to become a Partner. If we work together and support this venture, perhaps we'll soon have all 7 Billion working together.
