First Things First

We're all in this together! We're here to support you, as a Partner in our global community, by creating opportunities to connect with other people and organizations, to participate in creating positive social change, through grass roots initiatives.

While providing these opportunities, we accompany you, personally and organizationally, in developing your capacity to facilitate change in your community (and globally).

Through an ever expanding circle of Partners (individuals and organizations) we collectively become proponents for positive community change, and share with each other in learning, in continually expanding the number of learners, and by increasing participation in programs designed to promote prosperity and development in the world.

What can you do as a Partner?

Our goal is to help people, business, not-for-profits, NGOs, CSOs, schools, faith communities, all work together to create a bigger impact on the world. Here's what you can do as a Partner:

  1. Look for help from Partners to do something in the world or your community to make it better.

  2. Contribute to your community, your skills, your enthusiasm, your resources.

  3. Help your service organization or business to collaborate with other organizations.

  4. Share knowledge you gain through experience on Partner Projects.

How Do You Participate?

  1. Look through the Volunteer Roles page (mouse over Serving Together) to think about some of the activities you might be able to do or that you might need help with.

  2. Register with Parters by clicking on the Join Us button and you tell us a little about yourself by creating profile. Alternatively, you can Click on the Facebook login and connect through your Facebook account. Either way, fill in your profile so others can get to know your Project goals
When you Join Us, you will be asked to create a Partner profile. This is used to tell others how you want to participate. There are a few required fields but not many. The Join us will give you Step by Step instructions on how to create the profile.

  3. After you finish your Partner Profile, you will be sent an e-mail which will be used to confirm your profile. You just to click on the link to confirm your participation. (check your spam box if you can't find it.) You can use your Facebook login instead if you want.

  4. Whenever you come back to the site, you'll need to Login. Your browser will ask to save your password, so just say "Yes". When you login, you will be given access to some extra features that will help you to create your own project or join other projects.

How Do I Find Partners to work with?

  1. The first thing you may want to do is Find Partners in your area. Move your mouse over the Find Partners and Projects menu. You will see a list of different kinds of Partners and the Projects they are doing. Finding partners in your own area may be a little tricky if you don't know how but the Menu option Find Partners will tell you how.

  2. You can look at the Partner Map to see who's in the area. As we grow, this map will get much more specific and helpful so keep reading your newsletter. We'll let you know what's happening.

  3. What happens if I don't find any Partners in my area?
    a) Don't worry. There may not be any Partners in your area yet, we're still growing, invite someone.
    b) If you've filled out your profile, other Partners will eventually come looking for you to help them.
    c) Call us and we'll be sure to help you in anyway we can. We have tools and experience that will make your initiative easier.

  4. Look at some of the active projects by mousing over Find Partners and Projects. Clicking on Development Projects. You will see a list of current projects and, if you want, you can join one of these projects and participate.

  5. If you can't find a project in your area of interest, you can start by searching for Project Partners by mousing over Find Partners and Projects and then moving your mouse over Partner/Project Search which provide many options for searching Partners that have projects or Volunteers that might be able to help you.

  6. If you can't find anyone, you can invite other people to Join Partners by using the option to Invite Friends to Join. You will need to know their e-mail address.
