Through Partners, you can find ways to serve Social and Economic Development (SED) initiatives either locally or internationally. We do together this by sharing a common approach, a common framework, a common home for initiatives, and a place where you can find other Partners that you want to work with.

There are several ways you can help: 

Volunteer - If you have time or skills to share, you can help others create community based teams and service projects. As you serve, you will also learn and share your skills and capacities.

NGOs - If you belong to an NGO and need help, you can register here to let volunteers and corporate sponsors find you. When you register your organization, you can tell them what you need so that other Parters who have equipment to donate, or time to give, will be able to find you.

Cash Donations - While many of the projects are done by our Partners directly, some financial assistance is required. You can donate by clicking on the Canada Helps button on the left side of the screen.
  

Corporate Sponsors - We look to corporate sponsors both for monetary support and for providing Voluntary services. We can help you find service opportunities for your CSR programs. If your Corporation wants to participate, please create a corporate profile and indicate what services you can help to provide and encourage your staff to sign up as individuals. We also look forward to your financial sponsorship.

Finding Partners

Near By: When you move your mouse over the Find Partners and Projects menu, you will see several options for finding Partners. If you are logged in, you will find an option called Near By. If the system is able to detect your location, it will show you a map of Partners who are near your location (if there are any).

Funding Sponsors: Funding Sponsors are individuals or Companies who have demonstrated their generousity by donating to Partners for Prosperity at a specific level. This is a form of recognition of these Partners. Please do not directly solicity funding from them. 

Program Partners: These Partners have a special agreement with Partners for Prosperity so that we are able to receive funds on their behalf and issue charitable receipts in Canada. We do not do the fundraising on their behalf but they may do their own fundraising for the project. As part of the project fee, Partners keeps 10% to pay our expenses..

Development Projects: Many Partners create Development Projects. You can search the projects list by entering a search term in the right hand search box. The search currently only searches the title. If you find a project that is related to your work, you may also find Partners in that project that may be interested in your work. Depending on your goals, you may find other Partners who might wish to support your initiatives. 

What if you don't find anyone you can work with?

Don't worry, there are other options.

1) Invite Someone You Know

Once you've joined and logged in, think about someone you may wish to Invite and click on Invite Friends to Join . In that section, you enter the e-mail address of friends, family or colleagues that you would like to participate with you in your project. In the subject line, you can mention the name of the Project you would like them to Join you on. We'll talk about Joining projects later. They will be sent a message with a link to Join Us at partners. When they join, your ability to find others for your group increases.

2) Contact Us for Assistance

If you can't find the help you need, you can send us a note or give us a call and we'll see what we can do to help you.
