• To promote and train nomadic people in  modern livestock keeping and farming techniques
• To Assist them to acquire managerial skills.
• To support and avail portable water for the people and their livestock.
• To raise, mobilize and disburse funds and other resources for the promotion of the nomadic women and youth through the organization.
• To establish schools, educational centres, and libraries, and to publish newsletters, brochures, periodicals, books and other publications
• To employ teachers, advisors, experts and other staff for all or any of the objects of the Organization
• To promote sustainable financing for the organization
• To Alleviate and manage disaster risks in Northern Kenya

EVEN-P was established as a CBO in April, 2010 and later registered as NON-GOVERNMENTAL ORGANIZATON (NGO) under the NGO act of 1995 in March, 2011.

It is a non-profit, charitable, relief and development agency to address poverty in the Northern Region of Kenya, with special references to the Nomadic people by implementing long term community based programmes, self reliance and useful development.

EVEN-P has instituted its centre of operations (H/Q) in Mandera town which is Mandera county headquarters. The county has an extensive and volatile border with Somalia. The organization is planning to make its major development areas in Mandera County and the neighbouring communities with a population of over 1 million people according to 2009 population census. The creation of the organization was the brainchild of reputable professional, elders and women leaders from Mandera and Wajir Counties.
