Partners for Prosperity was incorporated in 2003 as a registered Canadian charity having the mission to assist in the creation of community based, grassroots, Social and Economic Development initiatives.
Over the years, we have participated in many initiatives in various countries including Haiti, Ghana, Honduras, Mongolia, Tanzania and, of course, in Canada. We have had volunteers from different nations and from all walks of life, from all age groups and from many cultures and religious backgrounds. We have also partnered with organizations in Canada, the US and Europe to further advance some of these initiatives.
The premise of our projects is that people are the primary resource and that development of their capacity is the way in which we all ultimately succeed. So Partners has offered an environment where people are able to create and develop their own projects with our assistance and, in some cases, we have taken the lead on the project. In many cases, we act as a connector helping one initiative to support another. Below, we have listed a few of our projects.
Projects have ranged from fundraising for building and supporting community schools in Haiti to letter writing and health support initiatives in Ghana. Some partners have travelled abroad to share their skills, and others have participated from home in sharing through their generousity and active participation. Partnership is more than just about money. It is about working together, learning together and encouraging contribution of talents and skills. It is about demonstrating the richness in life through the display of arts and culture.
Locally, we have participated in projects to share wisdom of those who have been involved in Social and Economic Development, we have assisted in building community gardens and we have participated in projects to help the First Nations of Canada to share their culture with others.
We have also worked with local youth to create their own initiatives and to learn some of the skills they need for future endeavors in community development.
Below are some of the initiatives we have been involved in. We invite everyone to partner with us.
